The title tag is super important to optimize because a compelling Title can improve your web page (Click Through Rate) CTR. To optimize your page or post title, you need to include your Focus keyword in the title tag. It is a good practice. You can also add Title tag modifiers. With the help of title tag modifiers, your page can rank for lots of different long-tail keywords.

3. Write a click-worthy Meta Description.

A compelling meta description can improve your page or post organic CTR. Search engines such as Bing or Google show meta descriptions in the SERPs most of the time. That’s why it is very important to optimize it. You can do the following things as

  • You can write it in an Active voice.
  • Include your focus keyword in your meta description.
  • Always try to keep your meta description under 120 characters.

4. Optimize Images

Search engines like Google or Bing can’t see the images as humans can. So, to inform Search engines about your website Images, you need to optimize them.

To optimize your images, you need to perform two things.

Optimize your image Alt tag.

Optimize the filename.

If you optimize your post or page image properly, then your images can also rank in Image search.

To optimize your images, choose the file name that describes the image. For Example, If you want to add the image of iPhone 13, then you can save the image as Apple_iphone13.jpg. Once you complete this, add the image to your blog page and then give it a relevant alt tag.

Alt tags also replace the image on a page when it doesn’t load.

5. Add and Optimize Internal links

Internal links are very important in SEO. It helps search engines understand what your page or post is all about. With the help of internal links, search engine crawlers and users can explore your website properly.

So whenever you publish a new post, add 2 or 3 internal links that are relevant to the post topic. You can also use keyword-rich anchor text in your internal links.

6. Optimize heading tags

Heading such as H1, H2, and H3 are very important. It helps you to format your content in logical sections. To optimize your headings, make sure you add your target keywords or LSI keywords to your H1, H2, H3, and H4 heading tags.

Heading optimization only won’t help your web pages rank higher on search engines. You also need to optimize the other elements of your website as well.

7. Use synonyms or LSI keywords to optimize the content.

Today, Search engines like Google and Bing are making lots of advancements in their ranking algorithm to understand the page content and deliver the right results based on the user intent. So, with the help of these advanced algorithms, search engines can understand your website content way better than they used to. So now, to rank higher on SERP, don’t just stuff your keywords on your page; instead, use LSI keywords or synonyms of your target keywords in your page content.

For example, if you want to rank for “how to cook biryani”, then you can use your exact keyword a few times in your blog, and in other important places, you can use synonyms such as

  • How to make Biryani
  • How to make Biryani at home
  • A simple way to cook biryani
  • How to make biryani easily.

8. Use External Links

While publishing your page or post, make sure you link 6 to 8 high authority websites. For example, if you are publishing an article on “How to cook Biryani”, then you can link websites like Wikipedia, foodnetwork.com, and others. High-authority external links show search engines like Google and Bing that this content is trustworthy and well-referenced.

9. Use your Focus keyword in the first 150 words

Search engines like Google and Bing first crawl your content Intro, so make sure you use your target keyword once in the first 150 words.

If you put your target keyword in your first 150 words or your intro, then it will indicate to readers that your post has what they are looking for, and when they get what they were looking for, they will read It, share it, and sometimes also links it.
